First Class Of Innovation Tournament

On 4th May 2023 in the afternoon, was our first class of innovation tournament. The eight groups which were selected for the innovation tournament attended the class. 

Firstly, Sir Mani Wangdi explained about a mobile application known as epicollect5 through which we can develop app. Epicollect5 is an open source, meaning that we don't have to pay for it (free). This mobile application can be used through mobiles and computers like android and iPhone. It can be used for collecting data such as amount of waste that can be designed in a very simple way and can also manage and analyze the data. 

Before we develop the app, There are sudden things to consider. 

1. Purpose, which is to manage waste through technology.

2. Design which has to be very easy to use. 

3. Functionality are the features or functions in my app. Simple the always better. 4. Feedback which is very important. We have to share our app with few of the friends and collect the feedback so that we can know, what are the problems faced by friends while using the app so we can modify the app. 

Assessment is so important if we want to win the innovation tournament. This is the criteria from which sir is going to assessed us. 1.  Design. Sir is going to assessed us by looking at the design of our apps. 

2. Features, the features that we have in our app. 

3. Users. The more user, the better we score. To get more users, we have to share the app. 

4. Entries received. When the users submit the data, that become our entries. The more entries, the more we score or the more marks we get. 

Then, we had a tea break as we didn't brought any lunch. Actually, Sir wanted to give us samosas but it was already finished so Sir gave us tea with good day biscuits. Sir gave us at least 10 to 15 minutes to finish the stuffs.

After the tea break, Sir demonstrated how to make an app using the mobile application known as epicollect5.

At first, Sir let us download the app, epicollect5 in our mobiles and to open a website of epicollect5 in the computers using the school Wi-Fi. Then Sir demonstrated how to develop the app and it's features, designs and function. We have set it's features and designs temporarily but will make it more excellent at home as we have already downloaded the apps in our mobile phones. Then the class ended.
